As community-based organizations continue to play an increasingly important role providing services and filling inequitable gaps left by education, health and so many other sectors, we need not only more of their work, but new ways of thinking and problem-solving that is for them, by them – and they need the time and resources to do it.
During the final webinar in our Community-Driven Innovation: Shifting Power, Solving Problems webinar series, a promotora, community-based organization leader, and an academic hospital institutional champion will share their experiences dreaming up, designing and applying a co-designed assessment tool which improved the equitable and inclusive integration of promotoras. Panelists will discuss how focusing the tool on institutional performance — and not promotora effectiveness — shifted power and ensured transparency and accountability to strengthen workplace policies and practices.
Join us as we highlight the best practices and lessons learned from this case study and reflect on the process and importance of community-driven change.
