The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the deepest flaws, fractures, and inequities within our health care and social service systems, sparking a national conversation about health equity. Despite the now-overwhelming evidence that racial disparities in health can’t be fixed without addressing their root causes — structural and institutional inequities — policy and practice leaders continue to struggle with operationalizing equitable, community-led approaches to their work.

In this virtual breakfast presented by Health Leads’ Massachusetts Advisory Council, experts and community leaders presented actionable strategies, policies, and practices they’re using to ensure everyone can access the essential resources they need to be healthy.
