Light & Heat: A Learning Community for Transformation, Accountability and Equity in Healthcare
The team of architects that produced Bringing Light & Heat: A Health Equity Guide for Healthcare Transformation and Accountability are excited to announce the launch of Light & Heat: A Learning Community for Transformation, Accountability, and Equity in Healthcare. With the Bringing Light & Heat Health Equity Guide serving as the overarching framework for the Learning Community, five participating teams will receive technical assistance and structured peer learning to help operationalize health and racial equity within their organizations. Teams will participate in five web sessions, with a focus on highly interactive discussions and practical cross-learning activities. Teams will also have blocks of time dedicated to receiving individualized coaching and technical assistance.
Over the course of a year, participants will:
- Develop and strengthen strategic practices for organizational transformation across five areas: commitment, building capacity, assessing and strategizing, changing policy and practice, and learning;
- Identify and troubleshoot key gaps and barriers to sustainable equity work;
- Learn about opportunities to build accountability for health equity, including accountability to patients and communities; and
- Engage and learn with a diverse community of peers working toward similar goals.
To learn more about the Light & Heat Learning Community’s goals, activities, and participant requirements, check out the in-depth overview. The deadline to submit an application is 8pm ET / 5pm PT on March 24, 2023 and selected teams will be notified by May 1, 2023.
